Although I take a dim view of the current direction of our country, occasionally I see things that I can cheer for.
First, the administration announced that it supports extending all three of the provisions of the Patriot Act that will expire at the end of the year. The provisions give the government the authority to access business records, operate roving wiretaps and conduct surveillance on "lone wolf" suspects with no known link to foreign governments or terrorist groups.
Second, President Obama signed an order authorizing special forces to take out one of al Qaeda's most vicious operatives, Saleh Ali Saleh Nabhan, Somalia's top terrorist.
Third, though probably not directly tied to Obama himself, the FBI, which is under the Obama administration, apparently foiled a terror plot in NYC.

All these things are great advances and great for the protection of our boarders. I have always said that is the primary responsibility of the federal government.
My concern now is turning more towards the destruction that is being done within our boarders by our federal government.
President Obama has continued as well to allow and encourage the continuation of attacks along and just inside the Pakistani border in pursuit of the Taliban and Al-Q.
Don't forget his authorization for the attack by Navy Seals on Somali pirates.
Personally I think that he has gone about the two wars quite responsibly.
I am not aware of any destruction within our borders by our federal government.
