Please give us some ideas

For those coming to the Family Reunion in St. George we would like some ideas of what you might enjoy. We thought about dinner theater tickets to Tuachan (Annie), trip to Zions National Park, Bryce National Park, hiking, baseball game tickets, picnic, possible show tickets in Mesquite or Las Vegas, renting a party boat on Lake Powell, golfing, Tanner Amphitheater (Randy Anderson Band), or just sitting around talking. It should be noted that there basically will not be any kids coming but mostly adults who have said they would be coming so we can pretty much gear it towards adults, i.e. our kids will be in Idaho or girls camp, I understand Brian's boys are not coming, Fabienne and her younger kids can't make it so mostly it should be adults. Let us know if you guys would have any preferences. Thanks.

I don't golf. However, I plan to go biking on some of the bike trails near St. George. Other than that, I wouldn't mind bowling and just sitting around talking. Other than that, since I am a geek, I could show everyone how to build a computer or replace computer parts, but I think that many would not care about that.

Biking could be good. Maybe we canorganize an early morning bike ride on Saturday for those who would like to do that. We have some really quality trails around here. We'll let you all know if we plan that so that you can bring a bike if you are driving. I love to golf but I can bowl jsut as well. Maybe a Wii bowling, golf, and tennis tournament.

Alan, anything you can teach on computer would be welcome by us. We don't golf except for putt-putt golf, do not play tennis and our bowling is so-so but I could be cheering. Dad could go on a bike ride. We will need to know what others want to do too.

Activities are less important than face-to-face contact
(talking). So I like the idea of walking/talking. There are great walking trails. Cooking together is always a fun and interfacing activity. I hate bowling because I am competitive, a bad sport, and I suck at it, all ingredients for a bad experience.

Annie would be fine with us. Too much physical activity is not possible for nick, but he will need sleep time anyway so don't take that into account.

We'll be happy to see you all in whatever venue.

I have a bike rack hitch attachment that can carry four bikes, so if anyone needs to have a bike transported from up north or even around the St. George area, I can do it.

I thought about a mini "Wortham Amazing Race" where we divide up into teams of four and compete in simple events that could incorporate activities and things that everyone might like. Can a team of four score a goal against a little league soccor team? Or can two of the four get a hit off of a high school softball pitcher? Can your team break 140 in bowling? Can your team score under par in putt-putt? Can your team start a little fire and make a smore? Dividing up into teams gives us contact and fun talking time going to and from events and during the events.

Deric, lets avoid competitions.

Sounds like a lot of work, Deric. I'll pass. I just want to relax and enjoy everyone's company.

I can bike down hill but I avoid any uphill bike trails. My biking gradient rating is <.0057% so if you can find a trail that meets that rating I am in.

As far as walking and talking I am in for that as long as I don't have to do both at the same time.

All this typing is making me tired. Gotta rest.

I probably won't be able to be there. 95% chance I won't, but if I am, I'm perfectly content with nothing more than visiting and relaxing. Low maintenance here.

Boy you guys are getting old! How many wheel chairs should I reserve?

You are welcome to use my home to save money. I have a pretty good set of golf clubs you are welcome to use.
