As I check into the Wortham Family and Friends Discussion (blog) I see an occasional tumbleweed blow by. Every now and then I can hear a hidden cricket chirp... Is anyone out there or has this forum dried up in the dusty wind? Hello---Hello---Hello. Well I even hear an echo. What the heck, I wonder if the nearby Saloon is open so that I can get a cold sasperilla... Oh good, it is open. I reckon I'll just sit here and crack open a few peanuts, throw the shells on the floor and wait for someone else to ride into town.

I have been wondering the same thing! Mind if I join you? We could play a round of cards.
Actually, I'll bet no one really wants to trump your great photo/invite to your retirement.
I actually have lots of things to post, as you can see on my personal blog. I try not to put the extremely partisan stuff here because some don't like it. Nevertheless, something embarrassing happened at BYU today, which you have probably already seen in my new post.
I hope you are not referring to me when you say that some don't like partisan posts. No need to respond. I expect partisan posts from all of us if we are talking politics or religion.
I am not referring to you, Doug. I know you are perfectly happy to debate the issues. Initially, the whole purpose of this blog was to encourage people to stop shooting off emails to everyone in their address book with material that some find disagreeable. I usually ignore such stuff, but as you know, once in a while you feel you have to rebut, and to do so, you have to spam everyone back. Hence, this blog. People who want to spout can do so here, and people who want to ignore a post or rebut a post are free to do so without the flood of email.
Another idea I have been considering is a server solely for the family. We could have our own domain name with email accounts, individual web pages, photo albums, family records, and this discussion blog. The drawback, however, is that such a setup would cost a little money.
Let's ramp it up again. Thanks to Alan I believe we have talked more on this blog than we have over the past 10 years combined.
But what will we have to say or catch up on at a family reunion now?
This blog has been great, and Brian's comment is right on. I favor a server for the family. I have no idea of the money required, but if it is without our means, I would like to see it happen and would happily contribute.
