Champs....A....gain!

I'm still on cloud 9! I wore all my BSU stuff to school today and all the BYU and Utah kids were happy for me but disappointed!

Go Broncos! The defense was phe-nom-enal!

Congratulations to BSU and its fans!

I used to be an avid fan when we lived in Meridian and BSU was playing 1AA football, and they had some very good teams back then. Nowadays, I am a BYU first and a Mountain West Conference fan second, so I was cheering for TCU.

The BSU defense was very good, but so was the TCU defense. TCU's Dalton was off his game. He was inaccurate and used often used poor judgment. TCU would have won except for all the interceptions. The loss was Dalton's fault.

The MWC went 4-1 in their bowls and made a solid case that the BCS is unfair. The BCS is a conspiracy of the big schools and the big bowls. It seems obvious to me that there was collusion to put BSU and TCU in the same game. This kind of thing happens routinely when Japanese companies bid on government contracts. The bidding is public, but all the bidders know who the winner will be. (The winner is designated in advance in secret meetings.)

I don't think it was an accident that BSU and TCU ended up in the same bowl. Sure, both get piles of money, but the two schools were essentially told "You two! Go play in that sandbox over there! We don't like your kind!"

All of what Alan said, is in accordance with my views. Except order of loyalty.

I know the MWC teams would profit financially from a TCU win but I was still leaning towards BSU on a scale of 55% to 45%. I always like to see BSU's style of play.

Congrats BSU. TCU had a great season as well.

Solid BSU fan here. It was a great victory. I couldn't be happier.

I don't see it happening but BSU ought to try to get into either the MWC or the PAC-10. They have shown in football at least, they can compete and at that point there would not be any of this "they don't play anyone". If BSU entered the MWC that would only increase the competition and enhance the MWC.

Alan's analysis is right on. The interesting thing I think is BSU's defensive coordinator who does a top notch job of preparing for opposing offenses. Especially when he has a lot of time. In this case, he had a full month. Dalton said that there were defensive alignments that they weren't familiar with.

BSU's O-line was also phenomenal. Not one sack. That was remarkable.

As for Deric's comments. I wonder about that from time to time. But I don't see BSU going to the PAC-10 anytime soon. The Mountain maybe. Sports radio broadcasters here in SL were nearly demanding that the Mountain make the invite.

Next year Va Tech on the road, Oregon State at home, Toledo at home, and Wyo on the road before league play.
