Merry Christmas

Yesterday the 28th of SEPTEMBER, I was standing in Target in the middle of 4 fully dedicated Christmas aisles. Isn't September just a little early for a full blown Christmas display of merchandise?

I agree. I hate see Christmas stuff before Thanksgiving. It's tiring enough to listen to Christmas music year around (Robin is a big Christmas music fan and we are often listening to Jingle Bells on the 4th of July).

Kohl's also had a corner of the store up for Christmas with garland, small trees, Christmas party stuff like plates, napkins etc.

And Costco too! In September, just imagine...
commercialism and capitalism run amok! Why, I'm just shocked! ;)

Not here! There is no signs of Christmas here. Only Halloween stuff. Lucky me!

That's funny Doug! If that is the worst that capitalism has to offer, bring it on! BTW, Michael Moore is claiming that capitalism has done nothing for him, all the while receiving capitalist investment for him to produce his recent propaganda/documentary on the evil's of capitalism. I won't watch it, but let us know what you think if you end up watching it.

I will probably see it, I did not like Bowling for Columbine but did like, no surprise given my health care/insurance concerns, Sicko. Otherwise, he is stupid to state that capitalism has done nothing for him. It has done a lot for me and anyone who lives in the West. But it is not utopian in its capabilities and vision. It has positives and negatives. I try to recognize both and tend to the negatives.

Capitalism has only made him millions of dollars. I guess if he subscribes to the theory that money doesn't bring happiness then he is correct in saying it has done nothing for him cause he never seems happy. Just grouchy, angry, tired, and incoherent, unable to put two logical thoughts together.

Well, I have seen his films. I must say he is angry, but I don't find him incoherent or unable to put his thoughts together, I don't agree with him all the time and I don't like all of his methods, but I am pleased that he takes on the issues he takes on. They have always pushed me to reflection.
