Flag Fight

A flag fight has broken in emails (this website was set up for carrying out such discussions).
I guess I must act as arbitrator here.

Claim 1: Obama removed the American Flag from his campaign plane's paint scheme.
True, but the plane has the flag next to the plane's registration number

Claim 2: McCain's campaign plane does not have the American Flag either.
Unknown. It is traditional to have the flag next to the plane's registration number, so I would assume that McCain's plane would also have the flag, but I cannot find a photo to confirm it.

I will have to stand corrected. It is true that Senator Obama's plane does have the standard flag printed next to the registration tail number of N755NA which is required by the FAA.

What he had removed for his paint scheme was the big wavy flag of the company he leased the plane from...North American Airlines. You can see the before and after shots at http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/airplane.asp

Senator McCains plane does have the more prominant wavy flag displayed. I do notknow how to add the photo like Alan did but you can see it at http://embeds.blogs.foxnews.com/2008/06/30/air-straight-talk-launches/

Three other items. As I understand it, McCain's plane is a privately owned which does not require any flag to be displayed on it. Obama's is leased from a registered U.S. air carrier, North American Airlines, and thus is required to have the flag on with the registration tail number.

Second item...if Sen. Obama is so eco-friendly why such a large aircraft as a B757 for his campaign and not the smaller B737-400 that is more economical which McCain has chosen to use. I am sure that he keeps the aircraft tires inflated properly though.

Thirdly, the Obama campaign has stated that the trip overseas was a congressional trip, fact finding in nature. If so why did they not fly military aircraft like other senators and congressmen as opposed to their newly painted B757 with the Obama logo?

I may just get a flag tattooed on my bum. That way nobody can ever accuse me of not having a flag on my tail.

Would you be willing to prove that when asked?

Kim is alway being a smart biblical donkey, even when it is draped in the American flag.
