Scare Tactic or Accidental Gaffe?

With all the gaffes that are spewed out and all the "catastrophic" doom and gloom scare tactics being spewed as well, was this a gaffe, scare tactic, or just Palosi being stupid.

How can 500 million Americans loose their job when there are only 303 million of us?

Many Americans have multiple personalities and other psychological disorders. This helps to account for the reason behind the idea that there are more of us than there really are. Not to mention the fact that many people with multiple personalities have various jobs which means that one person can lose more than one job. I don't know if this explains Nancy Palosi's number crunching but my friend that lives in my head said that it makes sense.

It's possible. I have two jobs and sometimes three. Not that I agree with Pelosi but it is possible...some people have to have more than one job to make ends meet and even then it doesn't make ends meet.

Even the multiple job issue doesn't fly because then every American would have to loose 1.5 jobs and I know every American is not out of a job right now not to mention out of 1.5 jobs.

On top of that, if you watch the link on the title of this blog she says "EVERY MONTH 500 million Americans loose their jobs".

I am willing to grant that people misspeak from time to time. However, Pelosi "misspeaks" more often than your average politician.
