"Basic Fairness" was one of his motto's throughout the campaign.
The basic unfairness of the BCS was laid bare for all to see tonight with Utah's absolute thumping of Alabama. I picked against Utah in our Pick'em competition, but I was cheering for them throughout the whole game. Can any football fan deny the sham that the BCS is! I say that it is downright un-American!

Of course, I am being a be sarcastic. I certainly do not believe that Obama intends to stick his nose in everything (nor do I want him to).
A big congratulations to UTAH! They should be the undisputed National Champions. Kim
BUT your point is well taken, Utah kicked their Bama Bubba butts and in so doing represented BYU and BSU who will some day surely be in the same position.
I listened to some national radio programs the morning after and they continually dissed Utah.
I am done with the BCS. I will not be watching the Cotton Bowl Monday night nor will I be watching the Fiesta Thursday night.
Go Boise State!
I completely sympathize with people who want to boycott the BCS bowls, but the fact of the matter is that fan boycotts have never been successful. I remember fan boycotts of professional baseball after the player strikes. The boycotts only lasted as long as players were on strike, but then the fans flocked back to the ballparks when the player strike was over.
As long as ESPN and other media are willing to shell out mega millions for broadcast rights, the BCS system will not change. Perhaps a little push from some politicians may be in order (although I cringe at excessive government intervention).
I'm not watching because I'm too pissed off to watch.
I am not trying to send a message. That's useless, only tv ratings will send any message.
