I am not super fit, but I am not seditary. I walk up to 30 min. a day or more (when it's not snowing or raining outside). Our tread mill bit the dust and we haven't been able to replace it. Even with all the walking I do, my appetite is also very healthy and I have a hard time cutting back, so it doesn't look like I excercise...but I do. My age and lower metabolism rate has caught up with me and having that very healthy WORTHAM appetite all the time, doesn't help me! I have prayed for the a less healthy appetite as a way of dieting...and a las, I am not to be granted that desire. Instead, I have to learn discipline.
I'm struggling too. I feel that I need to be home a lot because of Nick and now our dog Mouse is 14 and requires attention.
I have lost big weight in the past and the only way I have been successful is by making sure that more calories are expended than consumed. That is nearly impossible without some serious sweating and calorie counting. But once I sweat a lot, I find that I am much less hungry, mostly thirsty. It is all about getting into a routine that you stick too: solid exercise (walking only makes me hungry even though I walk outside an hour a day) twice a day and small delicious somewhat caloric meals. The key is the absolute routine and discipline. I am lacking in both right now.
I'm with Doug. I am lacking in routing and discipline. I absolutely hate to diet. The hardest thing for me in church life is to fast. On a diet, I get irritable. I love to exercise outside, so winter is a drag. Also, my knees and feet are beginning to ache even when I do walk. I am wondering if it is the start of osteoarthritis (and I am not even 50 yet).

Well, I'm not fit, but I want to be. I run every morning....from my bed to the bathroom. :)

That's okay Alan, you don't live in SLC. So you were not counted in the survey.
