Whoops! Wrong Button!

I am still laughing at the silly gimmicks of the Obama administration.
In this case, Secretary Clinton gives her Russian counterpart a button marked "Reset" to indicate the administration's desire to 'reset' our relationship with Russia, but the Russian word does not mean 'reset.' It means 'overcharge.'
---
Later that evening Clinton is reported to have called Obama and said "Dang it Barrack! You gave me the taxpayer button!!!"

Why are all of the post on the blog picking on or making fun on Obama? It seems that most Republicans will disagree with whatever a Democrat leader does or says no matter what it is just because he is a democrat, and vis a versa (however you say that). We will never all agree on everything, but can't we try to be more positive and supportive? That's why I don't like politics... it's always picking on other people of our own country. We should be united and supporing each other. Our country is in a big financial mess right now. No one person is responsible and when things are this messed up, there is no easy fix. It's going to effect everyone for a while. So quit complaining about everything Obama is trying to do to fix things! Thank you :)

Because this is a blog where we can poke fun and have fun and also have serious discussion if we like. That was a funny mistake on Clinton's part and worth poking fun of. (Clinton probably really let her staff have it when they got it wrong!)The amount of critism and of poking fun at Bush and Cheney was unrelentlous when they were in office, and also for Sarah Palin when she was running for VP. Detailed scrutiny and poking fun just goes with the territory, so don't take it personally. (I am sure Obama isn't.) We are all hoping that Obama can do some positive things...even though we don't always agree with his politics.

It's so easy to push a liberal's button! Whoops, pun intended.

That is the thinking of a true liberal who thinks that bipartisanship means agreeing with the liberal, but no one from the left was saying give Bush a chance. The called him chimp and Bushilter, put tasteless bumper stickers like "Buck Fush" on their cars from day 1. Obama may be trying to do good, but if I don't agree with his approach, I'm going to say so.

I've recently tried to put my most partisan stuff on my own page, but I thought the button story was a lighthearted poke at a Clinton gaffe, and it was not my intention to offend the Obama believers in our midst. Sorry.

A gaffe is a gaffe is a gaffe. I'm happy to laugh at it.
Reminds me of when President Kennedy stood in front of an admiring crowd of Berliners and said, "Ich bin ein Berliner." in an attempt to say "Ich bin Berliner." His version stated that he was a a jelly roll pastry rather than "I am a Berliner". There are other such gaffes that still make me laugh. Think of President Bush and the Chinese door video, hilarious!

I make giraffes all the time. So I like it when others do the same. Makes me feel like I am not alone.
