The Denver Broncos didn't win!

The Denver Broncos never win, they always STEAL the games by luck. In the Broncos vs. Chargers game they were handed the game by the moron referee. Denver should hang their heads in miserable shame for claiming a victory in that one.

So true. I find it hard to believe though that no other official saw the play and didn't come over and give his opinion. From where the referee was standing, it is hard to call a play with the quarterback's body actually covering the ball. The lind judge should have seen the actual fumble. But unlike golf, where a player is honored by calling his own penalties and judgement calls, football is a game of get away with whatever you can get away with...there is holding on almost everyplay...only call the obvious though.

P.S. I hate DENVER!

Only because I am a Chiefs fan. I know, we're miserable...but "there's always next year!"

Waaahhhh, cry me a river.

After two games, you Chief fans are already whining, "Wait 'til next year!" (Cue violins) We're only two games in. Don't get your jocks in a wad!

Of course the Broncos didn't deserve to win...but sports is chock full of plays like that. Sometimes you are the lucky beneficiary sometimes you loose because of it.

Don't worry, the Broncos do not have a defense that will allow them to make the playoffs. San Diego scored their last 6 possessions.

Regardless, the Broncos won. The standings prove it. I'll take it. Lady Luck was smiling on the good guys, what can I say?

Even though I don't like Denver, they say that God is a Broncos fan. He shows it by painting the evening sky in Broncos colors.

If you are a BYU fan you cannot complain about the Broncos win due to the call of the ref. Enough said.

Ahhhhh, BYU won because they blocked the kick, not because the Ref called a penalty BY THE BOOK! The kick barely cleared the front line. It would have been block from anywhere.

Regarding the Broncos, did the Ref grant the Broncos a touchdown and two points? No, after the bad call, it was San Diego's defense's job to stop the Broncos. They did not and they ALLOWED a two point conversion. The Broncos won the game on the field.
Go Broncos!

Kim-I saw that bumper sticker in Denver and was inspired.

Brian-BYU deserved to win that game, they totally dominated, and you are right, many refs would not have called that call at that juncture, but Alan is right too cause it is the rule.

Alan-You said it better than I would have. It took nerve to go for two and right up the middle again!

For what its worth, The referee in the Denver game has officially appologized to the world for his mistake. He said that no words or hate mail can make him feel any worse than he already feels. He is also personally answering all of his e-mails for better or for worse. I guess that takes a bigger man than I would be.

As for the bad call in the BYU vs. Washington game, many have said it shouldn't have been called simply because of how much time was left in the game. I still say, the rule is the rule no matter how much time is left on the clock. Take as an example, if you were on a 400 mile car trip and you get to the last 40 miles of the trip. Just because it is late in the trip that it would then be okay to bump the speed up to 100 miles per hour? No matter how late in the trip it is, the law is still the law and you can still get a ticket.

Just to make sure my stance is understood...I agree, the BYU game was fairly one by BYU. I just mentioned it to raise some discussion. I think that officials are part of the game. If a player runs into an official and is knocked down or out of bounds the play is still valid and ends where the ball is downed or goes out of bounds.
