Does anyone remember an applesauce dessert that we used to eat back in Idaho? It had some kind of shortcake or something on top. I would like to try to make that again but do not remember the specifics.
OK.For the applesauce recipe: A large can of apple sauce plus the recipe for Sweet shortbread that is on the box of Bisquick. Put applesauce on a 9X9 baking dish and put the dough on top of it. Sprinkle some sugar on top of dough. Bake at 350F till shortbread is golden brown. That's it. Goes very well with vanilla ice-cream

The only thing I remember is the apple sauce fights we used to have.
I don't remember the applesause dessert.
Dad says that he is trying to remember what it was. He said to wait a little and he will have it for you. M
How about that red Danish dessert? That I loved, and I can't find it as a box mix anywhere. Do they have it in Utah still?
I still miss the famous Idaho Spud bar!
